Dr. Nitin Shamsunder Toshniwal

Dr. Nitin Toshniwal is a noted Intensivist from Solapur city. An Intensivist is a medical specialist in Critical care medicine and Dr. Toshniwal has spent almost two decades in this field.

Dr. Toshniwal is a post graduate in MD (Medicine). This qualification was further strengthened with the completion of a one year Certificate course in Critical Care completed from Bombay Hospital, Mumbai and Ruby Hall Clinic, Pune. Dr. Toshniwal has earned immeasurable experience in his decade long tenure at Ashwini Sahakari Rugnalaya, Solapur as an ICU Consultant and Incharge of Respiratory Care Unit.

An esteemed member of Indian Society of Critical Care Medicine, Dr. Toshniwal is a regular participant in conferences organized by the society. The paper ‘Management of respiratory failure in severe neuroparalytic snake bite’ has won him many accolades and bagged him an award at the ISCCM conference at Nagpur in 2005.

Dr. Toshniwal believes in the use of optimum methods of therapy for trauma patients. He has very successfully treated neuroparalytic snake bite patients without the use of ASV, neostigmine and prophylactic antibiotics. He also has implemented safer, non-traumatic and cost effective methodologies in the treatment of Disseminated Intravascular Coagulation (DIC) patients.
